It took place yesterday (12/07), at Brazil's International Convections Center (Centro Internacional de Convenções do Brasil - CICB), in Brasília, the CAPES Thesis award cerimony for awarding the best papers, in 48 knowledge areas.

One of those awarded was Dr Pablo Adamoglu de Oliveira, who received Honourable Mention of Capes Thesis Award 2016 in the Engineerings III (ENGENHARIAS III) area for the thesis “DEVELOPMENT OF A TWO-PHASE JET HEAT SINK INTEGRATED WITH A COMPACT REFRIGERATION SYSTEM FOR ELECTRONICS COOLING”, defended in 2016, under the guidance of JADER RISO BARBOSA JUNIOR, from the Programa de Pós-Graduação em ENGENHARIA MECÂNICA da UFSC.

 

The award consists in diploma, medal and national post-graduate scholarship to up to 12 months for the thesis' author; assistance for participation in national congress, evaluated in R$ 3.000,00, for the advisor; distinction to be granted to the advisor, co-advisor and to the program in which the thesis was defended; and also airfare and hotel rate for the author and one of the advisors of the award-winning thesis for them to participate in the awards' cerimony.
