The Technological Center's Direction invites everyone to watch the lecture to be uttered by the Eng. Marcelo Andrade in the UFSC Rectory's Auditorium on this thursday, 03/09. The lecture will begin at 9 a.m. and will end at 11a.m. and has as its target audience engineering students.

The lecture's subject will be technological inovation in projects developed or financed by the company Prysmian and its comprehensiveness on the cable, wires and optical fiber world market.

Marcelo Andrade, with 30 years acting on the company and with experience on R&D in more than 80 factories around the world, will address the thematic of cooperation between university and business, the financing of projects with technological risks, contemplating the chemistry, new materials and solid state physics areas.

The Center's Direction understands the importance of the students' participation in view of the opportunities of partnership in the segment and also of internships in Brazil and the exterior in practically all engineerings' areas.

 

Marcelo de Araujo Andrade

Graduated in Mechanical Engineering in UFSC. Works at Prysmian Group since 1988. Initiated activities in the Research, Development and Quality - R&D area, changing to Production Manager and then Business Director. Since 2012 he's the R&D vice-president, working in a highly competitive market. Develops new products and systems, increasing the competitiveness and the product, technologies and new materials' inovation in different applications.
