About the project

The approval and evaluation of coolers performance requires the completion of standard tests in climatic chambers. These are but insulated rooms from the outside by means of low thermal conductivity walls, whose dry bulb temperature and relative humidity of the internal air are controlled through a cooling system and properly dimensioned heating. Depending on the type and quantity of refrigerators by chamber, the temperature and desired relative humidity and the requirements of the standard, cooling systems, heating, humidification and ventilation of the chamber are sized.

In this context, the POLO design cameras for both domestic and commercial refrigerators. The cooling system is of type expand and direct the air flow in the test section can be both horizontally and vertically. The temperature lowering and air dehumidification will be made by means of conditioner units air split type with compressor connected throughout the test (off thermostat). The humidification is made by electric resistances immersed in water baths allocated next to the evaporator units. The air heating and temperature fine control will be carried out by electrical resistances positioned in the output of the fans. The air movement, in turn, is promoted by means of axial fans fixed or variable speed. The control of all electrical resistance, both air and water, is made by PID controllers and solid state relays.
