POLO researchers have been dedicated to the research and development of appropriate cooling techniques for electronic systems. Passive and active technologies (ie applied in conjunction with mechanical vapor compression refrigeration systems) have been developed for applications in the oil industry and in manufacturing processes. Rapid camera visualization techniques and infrared thermography aid in the elucidation of physical phenomena, which will contribute to the development of more precise theoretical tools.
