During the last decades, civil aviation has become an important economic, logistical and strategic industry in a world increasingly more dynamic and globalized. However, such advances bring with them some side effects such as the aircraft noise growth. This generates environmental impacts - direct and indirect effects on the health of populations exposed continuously -, economic - operational limitations, taxation and even fines - and the regulatory structure of the sector. Moreover, technological challenges appear such as new paradigms in design and conception of new aircrafts. In this context, the Brazilian initiative Silent Aircraft arise in 2010 aiming to develop partnerships and bring together relevant resources and efforts to such.
