According to several rankings, the undergraduate and graduate programs in Mechanical Engineering at UFSC have been, for many years, among the top three in Brazil. The Department of Mechanical Engineering occupies a leading position thanks to the excellent infrastructure available to both faculty and students.
The POLO faculty are responsible for undergraduate and graduate courses in the Mechanical Engineering curriculum. They are nationally and internationally recognized researchers in their respective fields.
The POLO faculty have advised more than 30 doctoral and 140 master's dissertations, and have published over 1.150 articles in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences.
See below the Mechanical Engineering courses taught by the POLO faculty.
