he aim of this work is to evaluate the influence o f the generated flow noise in acoustic filters of hermetic compressors. This devi ce is intended to attenuate the pressure fluctuation in the fluid imposed by suction valve. Besides providing high acoustic impedance, muffles shall not create high flow resistance in or der to increase the pressure drop.
