Summary
The present work deals with the employment of the particle image velocimetry technique in exploring a gas-liquid two phase flow. The geometry in consideration is the interior of a glass tube having 3 mm of diameter. An effort was made to develop a measurement technique able to determine the bubble velocity. The reduced size of the tube presents difficulties for the use of probes or phase-detectors, leading to the choice of image proces- sing.
