Bernardo Peressoni Vieira was born in Florianópolis, Brazil, in 1995. In 2018, he graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). Bernardo worked as an undergraduate research assistant at POLO Laboratory (Oct/2014 to Sep/2018) with most activities focused on multiphase flows. He also interned as a cooling engineer at Whirlpool simulating and designing the cooling systems of freezers and refrigerators, while assisting with projects related to product approval and reducing the amount of condenser part numbers used by the company. Bernardo is currently working on his Master’s degree at POLO, with focus on the design and simulation of magnetic refrigeration systems. He has knowledge on programming languages such as C, Python and Java and in softwares like SolidWorks, MATLAB and LabView.
