Lucas Andrade Militão is from Belo Horizonte, MG-Brazil. Graduated from CEFET-MG and California State University, Chico (2014). Worked for 3 years as a monitor of the subjects: Physics I (Aug / 09-Jul / 10), Physics II (Aug / 10-Dec / 10), Thermodynamics (Mar / 11-Jul / 11) and at the Thermofluidodynamics Laboratory (Feb / 12-May / 12). Worked as an intern at Dayton Power & Light, specifically at the JM Stuart Station thermoelectric plant located in Aberdeen, OH (USA), with the role of monitoring and assisting in reducing the plant's net heat rate in order to increase efficiency. (Jun / 13-Aug / 13). Worked as an intern at Kotchergenko Engenharia, performing static and dynamic structural analysis on finite elements of industrial equipment and producing technical feasibility reports for equipment (Oct / 13-Apr / 14) Worked as a Trainee in the rolling mill at the GERDAU Steel Mill in Ouro Branco-MG (Jan / 15-Jul / 16), operating in the areas of operation and maintenance, performing and conducting failure treatments, helping to reduce mechanical TMNP. and the increase in the BL / BP indicator (Laminated Bar for Lost Bar), the latter having hit its historical record in Rolling Profiles in June 2016. He earned his master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. UFSC in March 2019, acting for POLO, under the guidance of Prof. Jader Riso Barbosa Jr. The work consisted of the design and validation through experimental tests of an innovative direct oil immersion cooling system of an underwater frequency inverter. He is currently a PhD student in the Mechanical Engineering Graduate Program at UFSC, and has as its theme the development of a dynamic electrothermal model for subsea frequency inverters.
