Summary

In this work a mixed Eulerian-Lagrangian methodology denominated ELAFINT is investigated to simulate viscous and incompressible flows in geometries that present interfaces between fluid and solid. In this methodology the equations are solved in a fixed mesh, using a non-staggered storage for the variables. The interface between fluid and solid is explicitly treated by particle markers, obtained by intersection of the interfacial curve segments with the mesh lines. The control volumes that are in the interface are modeled by the cut cell technique. Particular attention is given to the conservation of the fluxes in these volumes. [...]
