Summary

This work presents a numerical methodology as well as simulation results for the laminar flow including heat transfer inside the cylinder in a reciprocating compressor. The model performs the solution for the conservation of mass, momentum and energy in a two dimensional axissymmetrical domain that contracts and expands as the piston goes up and down.
