Summary

The present work deals with a new solution methodology for bearing systems subjected to dynamic load, which include solid friction and wear predictions. The model considers the dynamic coupling between the two bearings of a single shaft allowing radial displacements and misalignments. For the integration of the Reynolds equation that governs the lubrication problem use is made of a finite volume methodology. [...]
