The temperature predictions obtained with the thermal simulation models are validated with experimental data by measuring temperature and heat flux. By combining these measurements, heat transfer coefficients are estimated at different parts of the compressor, allowing a better understanding of the main heat transfer mechanisms and, therefore, the thermal interaction between compressor components. Furthermore, some experimental data are adopted as boundary conditions for the simulation models.
